Selden - 420 Kappa Mast
The Selden Kappa section was specifically designed for the 420 class and continues to be the ideal section for the boat for the following reasons:
- Lightest weight mast
- Performs like a 'stiff' mast with correct spreader and chock settings
- Will de-power with rig controls (the only DYNAMIC 420 mast on the market)
- Reduced drag due to small section size
The Kappa mast has been the most successful 420 mast ever, winning more National, European and World titles than any other mast section. The Kappa specification includes a four sheave heel plug and pole downhaul fairlead to lead line into mast at deck level in addition to normal Selden features such as ball bearing spinnaker sheave and fully adjustable spreader angle and length. Mast comes complete with cleat for kevlar main halyard and mouse lines.
